The San Francisco International Women’s Day Summit and Awards Luncheon need YOU!
This is a Centennial Celebration of International Women’s Day, celebrated and recognized on March 8th each year by the United Nations.
The San Francisco Summit and Luncheon expects nearly 400 women from around the world to participate. The day includes a full day summit, awards luncheon and gala dinner.
What will be expected
Volunteers will provide assistance to the summit organizers. Including preparation of conference materials, work registration table, assist with logistics and helping and directing summit participants for the overall smooth running of the summit, luncheon and gala.
In return all volunteers will get a complimentary summit registration (if there is a space available). Volunteers will be provided meals during long work sessions.
Volunteer Descriptions and time
Monday, March 7, 2011 from 1pm to 10pm
• Prepare Summit materials and registration area
• Direct/Assist vendors with move-in for expo area
Tuesday, March 8, 2011 7am to 10pm
• Staff summit and luncheon doors to check access badges
• Assist with registration
• Provide directions and information to participants
• Keep time and notes for summit session
• Assist summit committee with basic logistic needs
• Direct/Assist vendors as needed during day of activities
• Staff gala dinner registration and welcome area
